About Me

Yahya (Pedram) Babapour was born on June 31, 1985 in Sari

• Master of Photography from Iran University of Arts

I started photography in the early 2002s, from black and white Ilford negatives to cheap hand-rolled films, from Kodak color negatives to Agfa and Fuji negatives, and I started photography with a Yashika camera and around 2007 a Canon 30D camera. I bought it and photographed more or less with the same camera until a few years ago. Around 2016, I received a Mamiya medium cut camera as a gift and took pictures with the same camera. Now I shoot with Fuji xt5 camera. In these 20 years, I have had several group and individual exhibitions, and sometimes I have participated in photography and visualization festivals and won a title.

Around 2017, I became a member of the Iranian Photographers Association and in 2018, I founded Maso Publications. I started teaching at the university around 2019. These days, teaching at the university, managing publications, carrying out commercial and cultural projects, working as an employee and doing

Personal photography projects are my hobby.

Photography for me has continued with exhausting searches and still I can’t say anything definitively about the path and the road ahead of me.
